Harlem River and Macomb’s Dam Bridge. This bridge connects Manhattan with the Bronx. This is the second Macomb’s Bridge, called the wooden Central Bridge, built in 1860-61. It was a swing bridge to allow for river traffic to pass. It was rebuilt in 1890 and replaced by the current bridge in 1893.
